Meet us in great numbers at the following dates and events:
Sunday 11th April 19h00, « Notre Dame de l’Annonciation Church » : Concert from the members of the Invisible Monastery Community.
Wednesday 14th of April, at 19h30, « Patriarcat Grec-catholique » : Conference « Music in Lebanon during the Nahda », given by Dr. Nidaa Abou Mrad, Director of the Music Institute of the Antonine University.
Saturday and Sunday 17-18 April : Free guided visits of Zokak al Blat.
Saturday 17th : at 15h and 17h
Sunday 18th : at 10h and 15h
Starting Point : « Patriarcat Grec-Catholique ». There will be a brief presentation of the project introducing the tours with a guide speaking arabic, french and english.
Ending Point : « Lycee Hariri 2 ». A short documentary on Zokak al Blat and the initiators of the Nahda will be presented in the school previously known as the British Syrian School for girls.
A historic pamphlet will be given for free including a map of Zokak al Blat.
Reservations are highly recommended
Monday 19th April, 20h00 : Photo display of « Zokak al Blat today » by the photographer Michel el Esta, followed by « Migration Alley, Zokak el-Blat : Fragments of memory from a Beiruti neighborhood » by Karim Hakim produced by UMAM.

Mercredi 14 avril, à 19 h 30, Patriarcat grec-catholique : Conférence « La musique au Liban au temps de la Nahda », par le Dr Nidaa Abou Mrad, directeur de l’Institut de Musique de l’université Antonine.
Samedi et Dimanche 17 – 18 avril : visites guidées gratuites de Zokak al Blat.

Départ : Patriarcat grec-catholique. 1 courte présentation du projet introduira le tour avec guides parlant arabe, français, et anglais.
Un court-métrage sur Zokak al Blat et les érudits de la Nahda sera présenté en fin de parcours au lycée Hariri 2.

Zokak al-Blat, et ses palais immenses et merveilleux, a été le lieu d’activité privilégié des grands lettrés de la Nahda,
devenant ainsi avec Le Caire, la capitale culturelle du monde arabe moderne.
Zokak al-Blat est aujourd’hui un joyau terni, mais malgré les affres de la guerre, les nombreuses écoles et institutions culturelles qui ont fait sa renommée sont encore en activité ! Elles sont notre patrimoine et notre mémoire !
Découvrir Zokak al Blat, aider à préserver son patrimoine urbain et culturel : tel est le défi qu’il faut relever avant qu’il ne soit trop tard.
•18h – Exposition des photos de Michel El Esta qui présentera et commentera « Scènes de la vie quotidienne à Zokak al Blat » sur le stand du Ministère de la Culture, Salon du Livre.
•19 h - Conférence de Serge Yazigi, urbaniste : « Zokak al –Blat : l’enjeu »,Biel- Salle Agora.
•19 h 30 – Michel Ghosn, producteur, présentera 2 courts-métrages spécialement réalisés dans le cadre de « De l’alphabet phénicien à la Nahda : Zokak al-Blat, itinéraires et grandes figures » , Biel- Salle Agora.

وجه آخر لزقاق البلاط- السبت 31 تشرين الأول
زقاق البلاط من جديد. ذلك الحي البيروتي الذي شكّل بقصوره الكبيرو والرائعة، مكاناً مخصصاً لأدباء النهضة، وأمسى إلى جانب القاهرة، عاصمة ثقافية في العالم العربي المعاصر.
تشبه زقاق البلاط اليوم جوهرة أفسدها الزمن، ولكن رغم مآسي الحرب، تتابع مدارسها ومعاهدها العديدة نشاطها! فهي (المدارس والجامعات) ثروتنا وذاكرتنا .
إكتشاف زقاق البلاط، والمساهمة في الحفاظ على ثروتها الحضرية والثقافية، ذلك هو التحدي الذي يجب تخطيه قبل فوات الأوان.. السبت القادم 31 تشرين الأول، هي مناسبة أخرى لاكتشاف زقاق البلاط، بطرق مختلفة، وذلك عبر النشاطات التالية
معرض صور فوتوغرافية لميشال الأسطا بعنوان “مشهد من الحياة اليوميّة لزقاق البلاط”.
المكان: في قسم وزارة الثقافة، في معرض الكتاب الفرنكوفوني- البيال.
الساعة: 6 مساءً
- ندوة للمهندس المديني سيرج يازجي بعنوان “زقاق البلاط: التحدّي”

- يقدّم المنتج المنفّذ ميشال غصن، بالتعاون مع ماري كلود بيطار من مؤسسة (بروموريون)، فيلمين قصيرين حُضّرا خصيصاً في إطار “من الأبجدية الفينيقية إلى النهضة”. الأول بعنوان “الأبجدية الفينيقيّة” من إخراج أماندين بريناس، أما الثاني فهو وثائقي بعنوان “زقاق البلاط والنهضة” من إخراج لارا سابا
